To keep them from being misplaced when used in areas and situations that require them to be removed and reinserted often, each plug is tethered to the other with a PVC-free polypropylene plastic cord. These earplugs have been tested in accordance with ANSI Standard S3.19-1974 and achieved a 27 dB Noise Reduction Rating.
