Barley is a cereal grain that can be used for brewing, as well as in soups, stews, breads and other health foods. Barley has a rich, nutlike flavor and an appealing chewy, pasta like consistency. Barley is a great source of fiber and other important nutrients. All of the Joseph's Grainery brand Barley is grown on our family farm in the Palouse Region of Washington State. Unhulled barley must be soaked for 24 hours prior to cooking. Unhulled Barley still has it's hull.
