ORIGINAL PEPPER SAUCE - A wonderful blend of yellow Scotch Bonnet and Moruga Red peppers. This is the original pepper sauce from Bertie's. Tastes just like a thick homemade pepper sauce giving you that authentic fruity flavour profile in your meals.
BERTIE'S In Everything. Is their famous line. Even if you don't have a high tolerance to spicey heat, you can benefit from the flavours by adding a small amount to stews, soups and our Trinidad Pellau dish (Chicken and rice one-pot meal).
INGREDIENTS: Fresh Trinidad Hot Peppers, Vinegar, Mustard, Garlic, Salt, Chadon Beni (Culantro), Sodium Benzoate. Has a long shelf life at room temperature, easily 6 months. Refrigeration is optional depending on how fast or slow you use it, up to 18 months. Of course, it is Gluten Free. Chadon Beni (culantro, not to be confused with Cilantro) is an aromatic leaf that provides a unique flavour to our sauce. It is used widely in Trinidad and Caribbean cooking. The garlic and mustard a some subtle flavours.
