CAF Black Sesame Tapioca Crackers, 7oz. Sesame tapioca crackers, also known as Vietnamese sesame rice crackers or banh trang me, are typically made from roasted rice paper and black sesame seeds. Here are some steps for toasting sesame tapioca crackers in the oven: Place a cracker directly on the oven rack to 375 degree. Close the oven door. After 30 seconds to 1.5 minutes, the cracker should puff up, curl, and turn from opaque to white. Use tongs to turn the cracker over and toast for another 1.5 to 2 minutes. If any area remains opaque, turn the cracker over again, and the cracker is fully toasted when it's crisp and lightly golden brown. You can also microwave sesame tapioca crackers for 12 minutes, until they puff up and turn slightly brown. You can eat sesame tapioca crackers by themselves, or break them into pieces and use them to scoop Vietnamese salad or cerviche.
