It is immortalized in the song, "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," which was written in 1908 by two men who never saw a baseball game until years after they had composed their "baseball anthem." Sailor Jack and his dog, Bingo, have been on CRACKER JACK brand packages since 1918 when the founder's young grandson was the model for Sailor Jack. CRACKER JACK brand introduced "a prize-in-every-box" in 1912 when toys were first inserted into every package--a tradition that continues today.
