Ednberry is a premium elderberry syrup kit made locally on a small family farm in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The kit contains a certified organic blend of Elderberry, Aronia berry, Rose Hips, Ginger, Cinnamon, and Clove ready to brew in it's own 100% natural cotton brew pouch. You can easily make the most delicious elderberry syrup, without having to track down all of the certified organic ingredients yourself. The only thing you need to add is water and honey (or your preferred sweetener) - this allows you to sweeten the syrup to your own liking, using whichever sweetener you prefer. We recommend raw, local honey for its additional health properties; however, other sweeteners can be used, including maple syrup, stevia, erythritol, or agave. Directions: In a large pot, bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Carefully place the entire Ednberry pouch, unopened, into the boiling water. Reduce heat to low simmer. Brew for 35-45 minutes or until liquid has reduced 2-3 cups, remove from heat. Once brew has cooled to room temperature, press the brew pouch to the inside of the pot with a spatula to release extra flavor from the pouch. Add honey to achieve desired sweetness (1/2 to 1 cup)Pour into glass jar and store in refrigerator, use within 60-90 days.Makes approximately 32 ounces of elderberry syrup. As a preventative, take 1 tablespoon daily, up to 3x daily as necessary or as directed by physician. While battling a cold, take 3 Tablespoons per day.
