This highly effective sourdough starter originated in a small town near Selb Germany. It had been passed down from my own ancestors for over 300 years. My Mother brought this starter with her on the boat from Germany in1957. It's the perfect choice for self-reliant homesteaders and home bakers alike, freeing you from the need for store-bought yeast. I have been keeping it to myself for long enough. I hope you will enjoy feeding it and keeping it active. Each packet contains at least 2oz's of this amazing aromatic starter.
